The Democratic National Convention Committee (DNCC) is reporting that Alan Khazei, CEO of Be The Change, Inc., which is spearheading the ServiceNation campaign, will appear in tomorrow night’s video tribute to Senator Ted Kennedy.  Khazei is also the co-founder of City Year, Inc., an AmeriCorps program uniting diverse 17-24 year olds for a challenging year of service with youth in 18 communities across the United States and South Africa, and one of ServeNext’s founding board members.

The video features Senator and Mrs. Kennedy as well as conversations with Massachusetts Senator John Kerry and Georgia Congressman John Lewis.  It also incorporates interviews with individuals who have worked closely with Senator Kennedy and whose lives he has touched, including:

Alan Khazei, Co-Founder of City Year, who speaks of Senator Kennedy’s work to create AmeriCorps and commitment to inspiring all Americans to give back to their communities.

The video is co-produced by award-winning PBS documentarian and New Hampshire resident Ken Burns, who endorsed presumptive Democratic Presidential nominee Barack Obama at the end of last year.
